Mileage Reimbursement

The workers’ compensation doctors are not always the most convenient and sometimes you are driving long distances for treatment. You are eligible for mileage reimbursement on all trips for treatment. The Georgia mileage reimbursement rate is currently 40 cents per mile. Simply download the mileage reimbursement form from the ReisLaw website and keep records of the mileage driven and submit it to your attorney. Your attorney will then send to the defense counsel for reimbursement within 15 days. If the insurance company does not pay within 15 days you may be owed late penalties. There is a time limit for any mileage reimbursement of one year from when the trip took place and was submitted.
